Just like the old tropicalismo record sleeves, we see a little beach and water scene complete with smoking volcano in the background! Musically, the Blue Hawaiians are known for their longtime weekly gig at LA's Lava Lounge, where they played a blend of surfy instrumentals, lowkey Hawaiian loungey numbers, and Chris Isaak style smoky vocals. This particular disc includes holiday themed tunes like Mele Kalikimaka and We Four Kings (a blend of the Pyramids' surf classic Penetration with We Three Kings). Great holiday listening and viewing.
